CFT Crumple Flex Tester

The CFT Crumple Flex Tester determines the resistance of coated fabrics to damage by repeated flexing, providing a reliable reference for improving fabric quality. It operates with 4 test positions fitted with Φ63.5 mm discs (15 mm wide) that rotate at 200±10 r/min through a 90°±2° rotation angle.

Specimens are cylindrical in shape, measuring 220×190 mm flat, sewn to a length of 190 mm with an inner diameter of Φ64 mm. The compression mechanism runs at 152±4 r/min with a 70 mm stroke, and the distance between the inside faces of the two disc flanges is a maximum of 180±3 mm.

The test count is digitally settable from 0 to 999,999 cycles. The instrument conforms to ISO 7854 Method C and BS 3424. It requires a single-phase 220V 50Hz 3A power supply, measures 550×400×400 mm (W×D×H), and weighs 65 kg.
