FRT Martindale Scratch Tester – SPC Floor Resistance Tester
The FRT Martindale Scratch Tester is designed for friction resistance testing of PVC, WPC, and SPC plastic floors. The test uses a specified friction medium loaded with a set weight, applied to the floor sample in a reciprocating motion for a defined number of cycles.
After the test is complete, the specimen is removed and its surface condition is observed and assessed. The instrument features 2 test stations, an adjustable friction speed of 10–60 strokes per minute, and an LCD counter with automatic stop at the pre-set cycle count.

A specified friction medium (scouring pad) is loaded with a set weight and applied to the floor specimen in a reciprocating motion for a defined number of cycles. After testing, the specimen is removed and its surface condition is observed and assessed.
The friction speed is adjustable from 10 to 60 strokes per minute. The friction stroke is fixed at 60 ± 3 mm.
The total loading capacity is 8.4 lb, which includes the combined weight of the measuring rod, grinding head, and weights.
The machine has 2 test stations (Group 2), allowing two specimens to be tested simultaneously.
An LCD counter displays cycles from 0 to 9,999,999 and automatically stops the machine when the pre-set count is reached.
Standard accessories include one host machine, 4 standard weights, and 2 friction heads provided according to customer requirements.
The machine runs on AC 220V, 50 Hz and weighs 35 kg. The instrument volume is 67 × 36 × 25 cm.
