MFT500 Manual Peel Adhesion Strength Tester – 500N
The MFT500 is a unique and economical instrument for tension and compression testing, combining good stability, wide application range, and simple manual operation. It is suited for peeling, breaking strength, adhesion testing, peel-off, compression, and tensile testing of fabric, plastic, wire, crimp, yarn, strips, and many more materials.
A digital force measurement device is integrated to record the maximum peel adhesive strength and breaking force directly in N, Kgf, and Lbf — making results immediately usable without manual conversion. RS232 data output enables direct connection to a computer or printer for record-keeping.
With a 500N (50 Kg) capacity, 0.1N accuracy, and a hand-pressure operating mechanism, the MFT500 is a versatile and cost-effective solution for quality control laboratories and production-floor peel and adhesion testing.

Key Highlights
500N Capacity with Multi-Unit Digital Display
The MFT500 measures peel adhesive strength and breaking force up to 500N (50 Kg) with 0.1N accuracy. Results are displayed simultaneously in N, Kgf, and Lbf on the integrated digital force gauge, eliminating manual unit conversion and streamlining QC reporting.
RS232 Data Output for Easy Recording
Built-in RS232 communications port allows direct connection to a computer or printer for automatic data logging of test results. This enables labs to maintain digital records of every test without manual transcription, improving traceability and audit readiness.
Versatile Fixture Compatibility
Designed to work with a wide range of fixtures, the MFT500 can be configured for T-peel, 90° peel, lap shear, crimp pull-out, tensile, and compression testing across diverse materials — from fabric and yarn to wire, plastic strips, and adhesive tapes — all with the same base instrument.
The MFT500 is designed for a broad range of materials and test types including peeling, breaking strength, adhesion testing, peel-off, compression, and tensile testing. Suitable materials include fabric, plastic, wire, crimp connectors, yarn, adhesive strips, tapes, laminates, and many more — making it a versatile choice for textile, wire harness, packaging, and adhesive QC labs.
The MFT500 has a maximum load capacity of 500N (equivalent to 50 Kg or approximately 112 lbf). The measurement accuracy is 0.1N / 0.01 kg / 0.02 lb, providing high-resolution readings suitable for both fine adhesive peel tests and heavier fabric or wire break strength evaluations.
The MFT500's integrated digital force gauge displays results in three selectable units: Newtons (N), Kilogram-force (Kgf), and Pound-force (Lbf). This multi-unit capability ensures the instrument is compatible with international test specifications and customer reporting requirements without requiring separate conversion tools.
The standard traveling length of the MFT500 is 200mm, which is sufficient for most peel and adhesion tests. An optional 400mm traveling length configuration is also available for tests requiring longer peel distances — for example, T-peel tests on longer adhesive bond specimens or laminates.
Yes, the MFT500 includes an RS232 serial communications port for direct data output to a connected computer or printer. This enables automatic logging of force readings into spreadsheets or test management software, improving record accuracy and supporting traceability requirements in quality management systems.
The MFT500 is designed to be used with various kinds of fixtures to cover a wide range of test configurations. Common fixtures include T-peel grips, 90° peel fixtures, flat compression platens, and tensile jaw sets. Specific fixture availability depends on the application — please contact Apple Electroniks with your test requirements to confirm fixture compatibility.
The MFT500 is used across multiple industries including textile and fabric manufacturing (peel strength of laminated fabrics), wire and cable (crimp pull-out and wire break strength), adhesive and tape manufacturing (peel and lap shear), packaging (seal strength testing), and plastic and polymer labs. Its broad fixture compatibility and manual simplicity make it ideal for both production QC and R&D labs.
The MFT500 operates on standard 220V or 110V at 50/60 Hz, making it compatible with power supplies in India and export markets worldwide. It weighs 20 Kg and measures 450 × 400 × 700 mm (L × W × H). Its compact benchtop footprint means it can be installed on a standard lab workbench without requiring dedicated floor space or special electrical infrastructure.
