SBPRT/E Synthetic Blood Penetration Tester – E Series Automatic Model (Latest)
The SBPRT/E is a fully automatic synthetic blood penetration resistance tester used to determine the resistance of medical protective clothing — including PPE kits and masks — to penetration by synthetic blood under varying levels of test pressure.
Featuring one-touch automatic operation as per ASTM/ISO methods, the machine provides a freely settable air pressure range of 0.5 to 40 kPa with ±0.1 kPa measuring resolution and 0.01 kPa least count, ensuring precise and repeatable test conditions every time.
The SBPRT/E is equipped with a colour touch-screen display, manual specimen clamping, a high-quality 316 stainless steel test head, and a square metal block network with over 50% open space — complying with ASTM F1670, ISO 16603:2004, ASTM F903, and IS 16546:2016.

Key Highlights
Automatic One-Touch Operation
Fully automatic E Series with one-touch control as per ASTM/ISO methods; colour touch-screen interface for user-friendly and efficient testing workflow.
Precise Pressure Control
Delivers 0.5~40 kPa air pressure with ±0.1 kPa resolution and 0.01 kPa least count, ensuring highly accurate and repeatable synthetic blood penetration test conditions.
Medical PPE Testing
Purpose-built for testing PPE kits and medical masks per ASTM F1670, ISO 16603, and IS 16546 — essential for validating medical protective clothing performance.
The SBPRT/E is used to determine the resistance of medical protective clothing — including PPE kits and masks — to penetration by synthetic blood under different levels of automatically applied test pressure. It conforms to ASTM F1670, ISO 16603:2004, ASTM F903, and IS 16546:2016.
The SBPRT/E provides an air pressure range of 0.5 to 40 kPa (±0.1 kPa) to the specimen. The pressure can be set freely within this range, giving operators full flexibility to simulate different test pressure levels as required by the applicable standard.
The SBPRT/E has a measuring resolution of ±0.1 kPa and a least count (pressure) of 0.01 kPa. This fine resolution ensures highly accurate pressure application and measurement throughout the synthetic blood penetration resistance test.
The SBPRT/E complies with four key international and national standards: ASTM F1670 (synthetic blood penetration resistance), ISO 16603:2004, ASTM F903, and IS 16546:2016. These cover the full range of requirements for medical protective clothing and barrier fabric testing.
Yes. The SBPRT/E is a fully automatic model with one-touch operation as per ASTM/ISO methods. It features a colour touch-screen display for user-friendly control, and automatically applies the selected test pressures to determine penetration resistance without manual intervention.
The test head is made of high-quality 316 stainless steel with a high-strength cover. The square metal block network provides more than 50% open space and withstands less than 5mm bending under 40kPa — ensuring structural integrity throughout the full pressure test range.
The SBPRT/E is equipped with manual specimen clamping. The test cell has a torque of 13.6 Nm, ensuring secure and consistent clamping of the protective fabric specimen before automatic pressure application begins.
The SBPRT/E operates on 220V/110V, 50/60 Hz power supply, making it suitable for both domestic and international laboratory environments. The machine weighs 60kg and is designed for stable bench or table installation.
