WAT Wyzenbeek Abrasion Tester – Latest
The WAT Wyzenbeek Abrasion Tester determines the abrasion resistance of fabrics when rubbed against a standard abradant or wire mesh screen with a backward and forward motion over a curved surface. It is used by automotive, woven fabric, and PVC fabric manufacturers working to US standards.
Motor driven with 4 abrasion heads, PLC & HMI control for precise cycle counting. Features a sealed transmission drive for quieter operation and suction manifolds to connect to an auxiliary vacuum cleaner. Complies with ASTM D4157, SAE J948, and Chrysler LP-463KB-06-01.
The oscillatory frequency is 90 CPM (adjustable) with a 76 mm arc. Sample size is 245 × 73 mm, tension is adjustable from 1–6 lbf and load from 1–3.5 lbf. Optional consumables include rubber pads, SS wire mesh screens, and Abrading Fabric #10 Cotton Duck.

The tester accepts a standard abradant or a wire mesh screen. Optional consumables include rubber pads (pack of 8), SS wire mesh screens (pack of 4), and Abrading Fabric #10 Cotton Duck (5 metres).
Oscillatory frequency is adjustable up to 90 CPM. Tension on sample is adjustable from 1–6 lbf (27.2N) and load on sample from 1–3.5 lbf (15.8N).
